Mark Gillespie's full name is Mark Raymond Gillespie. His parents used to fondly call him Dizzy, which is his nickname. Mark was born on 17 October 1779 in Wanganui, a beloved city in New Zealand. He's a right-handed batsman and right-arm fast medium bowler. He's also known by the nickname Tawa Terror because of playing matches on behalf of Tawa Cricket Club. 

Career 

Mark used to play home matches for the Wellington team before coming into International cricket world. But in 2005-06, when he played for the Wellington team on the thought of his brilliant talent and bowling, he took 43 wickets from the opposition teams within the domestic matches with an outstanding average of 23.16, then he got the attention of the selectors, and he got international cricket and finally got a chance to play for the New Zealand national team.

First International Matches

Mark Gillespie played his first international ODI against Sri Lanka on 28 December 2006. Within the same international T20 format matches, he made his T20 debut against Sri Lanka on 22 December 2006. On the opposite hand, he made his debut on 16 November 2007 against South Africa in international cricket Test matches. Mark Galaxy, who played his debut match during this match game at Centurion's ground, he took 5 wickets of opposite team South Africa within the first innings.
